課程概述 |
This is the second course, in a two-semester course series, designed primarily for undergraduates who anticipate future applications of statistical methods. Topics covered in this course include a review of one-way analysis of variance, two-way analysis of variance, interactions, correlation coefficients, linear regression analyses, chi-square test of goodness of fit, chi-square test of equal proportions, chi-square test of independence, and non-parametric tests. Prerequisite of this course is mastery of materials covered in the first course in this two-semester series and SPSS basic commands.待補 |

課程目標 |
1. To acquire advanced skills necessary for applying statistical principles of inference to well-defined psychological and educational research;
2. To enhance statistical thinking, reasoning, literacy, attitudes, and beliefs;
3. To be able to critically evaluate manuscripts in which statistical techniques covered in this course were applied; and
4. To carry out numerical analyses of data by a calculator (e.g., Casio fx-260), Excel, or IBM SPSS. |

Prerequisite of this course is mastery of materials covered in the first course in this two-semester series and SPSS basic commands. |

Students are expected to study 4 hours for every hour spent in lecture or in the lab. Study time short of this expected study time may result in insufficient understanding and mastery of key concepts convered in this course. Students should be fore-warned of this expected study load. |
